Privacy
How the club treats what you share with it.
Only what you send us through a form or an email: your name, how to reach you, where you live, and what you tell us. If you accept statistics cookies, also how you use this site (see Statistics below).
To answer you, to manage membership and subscriptions, and, only with your consent, to count you anonymously on the map of where the Swiss are.
The committee and the members of the Swiss Desk who handle your request. We never sell or lend your details, and never publish a name without consent.
Members sign in with the email address the club has on file and a code we email them. The members' area keeps your name, category, renewal date and household, the phone number, postal address and language you add, and the posts and photos you share in Club life, which only signed-in members see. Photos are made smaller in your browser before upload, which removes their location data. Everything is stored with Amazon Web Services in Frankfurt. You may change your contact details and delete your posts yourself at any time.
Messages sent through a form on this site are emailed to the club and kept for the committee for twelve months, then deleted automatically. As long as you are a member or subscriber, or as long as your request needs. Then we delete it.
You may ask to see, correct or delete your details at any time, and withdraw any consent. Write to the club and we act within thirty days.
Statistics
If you accept statistics cookies, the site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It sets cookies and sends Google the pages you open, your browser and device, and your approximate location; Google may process this outside Switzerland and Namibia. If you decline, or do not choose, it is not loaded. Your choice is kept in your browser, and you can change it here at any time.
